A Family Experience for Kids and Adults
Our Tide Pool Safari is a 1.5-hour guided walk through natural rock pools in the Aljezur area of the Algarve.
We guide in a two-guide format — one for the kids, one for the adults — so everyone gets the best experience.
Kids learn in a playful way, discovering creatures with us like it’s a treasure hunt. They learn how to tell the gender of a crab, how sea urchins move, why shrimps are see-through, and that baby octopuses can be as tiny as a grain of rice.
Adults get a deeper insight, from the barnacle’s incredible natural super glue to the octopus’ intelligence, curiosity, and the surprising behaviors we often witness here in the Algarve.
No two tide pools are ever the same.
And every family leaves with a moment they’ll talk about for years — sometimes an octopus watching us back, sometimes a crab race between the rocks, sometimes a shy sea slug that becomes the kids’ favourite.
